Juno Download Review: “As you can imagine, Breakbeat Paradise Recordings specializes in the sort of house music that’s carried by chunky blockade of beats and bass, all rounded off by a distinctive electro swing. This is the second chapter of the Big Fat Mama Beats series and, once again, the imprint have gone to extreme measures to secure a supremely effective line-up for both them and us. There’s not a dull moment in here, or anything remotely beatless, so be sure to cop yourself this super-charged, super floor-minded collection of new-school breaks for the masses”
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, is very excited to welcome back the compilation Big Fat Mama Beats 2, with a mind-blowing mixture of various artist. Including both well established and upcoming acts from around the scene, with many household names already to find and catch on future releases from BBPrecordings. 12 fresh pieces of Big Beat, Nu-Funk, Breaks and Electronic Boombap specials. This is a hot saucy melting pot of big breaks, beats and heavy nu-funk, that will undoubtedly set dancefloors on fire, across the planet. Lack Jemmon EP – Out now on 12″ Vinyl
Available now in the Juno Store:
http://www.juno.co.uk/products/lack-jemmon/652928-01/
A1. Olly’s Heartbeat
A2. Who’s Serious
B1. The Party Riddim
B2. Would You?!
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back with another big vinyl release from the amazing producer due Lack Jemmon, which consists of DJ Clairvo and Kid Panel, who are both well-established producers, DJs and label owners on their own. Together they are an explosive cocktailed of big funky grooves, filthy glitcy basslines and banging beats!
Lack Jemmon has been around for a couple of years and quickly signed up with the successful ghetto funk label Scour Records where they have dropped a few tunes and remixes. When the boys reached out to us and said they had 4 bangers they wanted to drop on vinyl we didn’t hesitate to say Hell Yeah!
The self-titled EP showcases their style of heavy breaks and funky basslines perfectly across the 4 bangers that are tried and tested for complete dancefloor destruction.
A1. The EP kicks off with a big remix on the catchy Olly’s Heartbeat, which has been infused with some heavy duty basslines and some rocking electronic funk beats. Pure fire!
A2. The party continues on the second cut where the boys are really getting serious on another catchy riff and some party rhymes to go with the steady beats and glichy basslines. Let’s not forget the beautiful hook from the original 90s dance anthem to complete this perfect joint – Who’s Serious!
B1. Just as we though this couldn’t get any better Lack Jemmon cooked up another banger for the b-side called The Party Riddim. As the name suggest it harvests some big reggae grooves and vocals mixed with some party rocking beats.
B2. To showcase a different side to the duo Would You?! is a funky house arrangement with some smooth disco grooves and a party rocking rap acapella. A perfect way to end this double A-sided wax of bangers!
You can always count on BBP for your doze of party rocking beats – and for keeping the vinyl alive…

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back at it again to provide the soundtrack to get you safely into the summer season with 10 blazing hot disco joints to set the dancefloors on fire across the planet.
After doing dedicated releases for oldskool funk, reggae we though it was time to celebate of the genres we love: DISCO!
We’ve teamed up with some of the very best in the Nu Disco scene as well as some of our own resident producers to give us that perfect blend of disco vibes mixed with breaks which makes up the Disco Paradise Sound.
Kicking this release off, is Dr Packer, with a perfect blend of disco, funk and soul, with cool vocals, and complimentary stabby bassline, this will make those shoulders lift to the groove.
Coming in with a horns heavy groover, DJ Kid Stretch, gets those Jupitor vocals rolling over, giving us that nostalgic feeling of once was.
Charlie Beale, known for his nu funk and diversity, shows his skills at nu disco, and doesn’t disappoint, with this banger full off scratchy samples, sexy synths and heavy kicks.
Keeping with the heavy kicks, Morlack provides us with a perfct disco track, brought into the 21st century. Big bass for those bass bin lovers…
Bringing down the tempo, Shaka Loves You delivers nothing but smooth perfection. Rolling guitar and synth riffs, over a deep electro bass, and a steady groove, make it a tune for top down driving into the sunset. Following that is Basschimp, who gets it on with the amen break, and breaks the mould of nu disco. A real eye opener, hands in the air, dancefloor killer!!!
Now the tempo rises again!!! DJ Pied Piper, Disco extraordinaire, gets his groove on rolling through so many styles in pone track. This is a listener and a dancefloor filler, taking everyone on a real disco ride.
When it come to Leygo, one knows you get consistency. Always on point with this rolling bass tune, with vocal stabs, subtle horns, and a rhythm to die for.
Clap your hands and ”Jump To It”!!! Morongroover & Mr.Bristow clap and scratch their way through this breaker of a disco hit, to bring you all a nu disco track for those lovers of that funky guitar!!
Don Dayglow is no stanger to the music scene, and it can definitely be heard… A tune full of musicality, so many sounds complimenting each other to create a masterpiece of nu disco.
It’s a pleasure for us at BBP to navigate the musical genres to keep our turntables glowing, while music changes you can rely on us for the big grooves, the smooth bangers and dancefloor dynamite to keep the parties going…

DJ Maars/Basschimp/Leygo/Ccokney Nutjob/Fredy High – Breakin’ The Riddim *OUT NOW*
- DJ Maars – Can I Get Wit Ya
- Basschimp – Under Mi Breakbeat
- Leygo – Here Come The Informer
- Cockney Nutjob – Bust A Jam
- Fredy High – Hold Me Tight
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings are on the themed tip again, this time getting their reggae vibes on. First came the “Swing that Funk” EP, and now comes “Breakin the Riddim”!! An EP of pure funky riddim feelings, BBP have hauled both veterans and new in to create their take on how they feel breaks and reggae should be put together…
DJ Maars kicks the EP off with his own unique style of riddim and this man is a master of the reggae/hip Hop mash, and with this, there’s no disappointment. Basschimp follows up with a banger of a tune called Under Mi Sensi, which has received the head-nod treatment, with big drums and bass to tear the dancefloor up. BBP’s resident funkster Leygo, brings the heavy vibes with his badboy of a track. Tight beats, accompanied by deep rolling bass and funky horns bring this already sweet tune to life.
No breaks compilation is complete without a bit of wobble, and who else better to provide it, than Cockney Nutjob. The man has skills, creating simple, yet great tunes that are almost impossible not to enjoy!!
Finally up-and-comer Fredy High brings the happy vibes. A real reggae riddim, with nice breaks, and a sweet vocal, make this tune a secret of the record box.

Reviews:
“DJ Badboe and Wiccatron’s Brekabeat Paradise Recordings masterfully re-enter our charts with their singular approach to breakbeat and electro – this time with a mini compilation! The Danish label has to be given a shout-out for having always done what they believe in, and it’s clear they got their strategy right. The numbers don’t lie, and these guys provoke quite a few downloads on the ol’ Juno system. Breakin The Riddim is a wild and diverse affair, full of sampling grace and brimming with party-ready material in every sense of the word. All of it, however, is heavily centered around break sampling and an audible ‘ragga’ influence – tunes from DJ Maars, Basschimp, Leygo, Cockney Nutjob and Fredy High are the only solution to any bashment or dancehall DJ wanting to fire the place up!” /Juno Review
“Looks like it’s time for another themed EP from Breakbeat Paradise and no prizes for guessing that a release entitled Breakin’ The Riddim with cover art featuring a dreadlocked breakdancer entails a marriage of breakbeat and various reggae-related styles. No prizes either for guessing that it’s richer in bangers than a Walls sausage factory…” /Read complete 5-star review on monkeyboxing.com

B3. Turntill & Merlin feat. Doppia Erre & Sky 189 – Break A Day (Quincy Jointz Remix)
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings has teamed up with The Chosen Few Records to proudly presents the latest escapade of TURNTILL & MERLIN: “BREAK A DAY“. This tune is dedicated to all the b-boys and other funkateers worldwide that love the drumsound and the funk. The MCs on the song are DOPPIA ERRE from Apulia, Italy and SKY 189 from Capetown, South Africa.
Both are true Hip Hop heads that love the art of breaking! In the hook you hear the sweet, catchy voices of Stella Baraldo and Dominique Bouvier. A real powerful b-boy anthem and club joint alike, which is interpreted in five additional versions on a six track 12” vinyl release.
Guests on the A-Side are DJ KID STRETCH (Greece), FUNKY BOOGIE BROTHERS (Belarus) who is giving the tune a new flow in the oldskool b-boy direction. On the flip side we have invited some of the very best from the Ghetto-Funk scene to give the tunes an injection of electro vibes and big basslines. For this job we called upon the dream team DUBRA X ARTEO (Latvia) and ghetto funk superstar B-SIDE (United Kingdom) who are always armed to the teeth with big beats and electro basslines. Last but not least we sent for a true veteran and pioneer in the Nu Funk scene QUINCY JOINTZ (Germany) to do his thing on the electro side of this vinyl release.
The funky beats and breaks has once again brought people together from all over the world to collaborate on this big release that not only tips the hat to the b-boy community but also pushes the limit to the new eras of funk music. Something we share the vision for and feel strongly about on both Breakbeat Paradise Recordings and at The Chosen Few Records.
