The time has come for BadboE to return to once again rock the floors across the planet with an explicit 4-track party breaks EP. The Ghetto Funk Testament is BadboE’s interpretation of the sound of ghetto funk that has been causing so much hype over the last few years. The 4 funky bangers on this double a-sided EP is taking it back to where it all started – as sample-heavy – upbeat party smashing music!
This is the first major release from BadboE since his successful second album Pump Up The Funk that dropped in 2012. Followed by an instrumental EP and a remix album, which very much celebrated the ghetto funk sound with tunes from the very best in the scene.
Making a full Ghetto Funk EP was a natural next step for one of the pioneer players in the funky breaks scene, who has been one of the go-to sources for all funky DJs for the last 10 years. BadboE’s approach on ghetto funk however is not taking itself too serious, but focuses on the good samples and heavy beats and just enough bass to keep it ghetto without loosing the soul of the music. All 4 cuts on the EP keeps up that happy funky vibes and the b-boy flavors that BadboE is known and loved for.
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is now one of the last labels to be releasing funky breaks/ghetto funk on vinyl and we are proud to continue to provide the very best this scene has to offer. This EP will remain exclusive for vinyl DJs for the next 6 month before dropping on digital.
“It seems like it’s been ages since a solo original Badboe release – let me see now, that would have been his Pump Up The Funk LP in…2012. But that was three years ago! Good lord! It really hasbeen ages since a solo original Badboe release. Fear not though, this scene legend is back with a vengeance putting the fun back into ghetto funk in a testament that is tantamount to a dancefloorclarion call with…Ghetto Funk Testament. Feel Boe flow on Eye Of The Beholder as he breaks the body of a beat with a vocal snippet from Treach forged into a hook which is juxtaposed with another hook forged from some late seventies/ early eighties soul flavour. Feel Like Funkin You Up, will also make you feel like dancing (not to mention feel the beat y’all) something you’ll be likely to Refuse To Quit when you hear the orchestral ghetto soul of track three and insistent synths-plus-cheeky ‘guest’ vocals from Brooklyn’s one hit rap wonder Uptown on the closer. Dope on plastic! Actually, as the PR is wont to point out, BBP is one of the last labels still dropping this kind of stuff on wax. Not only that but this release will be a vinyl exclusive for six months – so if you want these beats you know you need to get physical.

- City Love
- Pull Up My Roots
- Stand By It’s On
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings has once again teamed up with Mr. Bristow to deliver yet another groovy EP of high-energy old-skool funky breaks.
On the City Love EP, Mr. Bristow takes it back to the roots of funk and soul and throws some golden era hip hop MC-ing into the mix, for maximum party flavour.
We’ve been hearing more old-skool beats and breaks from Mr. Bristow lately – both as a solo artist and as part of the successful duo Mako & Mr. Bristow. The pair has had a number of successful 7-inch vinyl releases this year (with support from Craig Charles on BBC 6 Music), as well as their Supersoul Rock N Roll EP that was released last year here on BBP.
The City Love EP is a special delivery for all those b-boys out there that like their beats broken and rhymes sharp, over a funky groove. All four cuts stay true to that recipe, but at the same time work perfectly in any modern mid-tempo party rocking dj set.
From the easy rockin’ grooves of the title tune City Love, to the funky disco breakin’ Pull Up My Roots – to the hyped flowin’ Stand By It’s On and the heavy breakin’ Lunar-Tune.
Already getting support on the Deep Fried Funk Show on NSB Radio and in the latest BadboE mixtape.
Keeping it real with the beats and breaks as usual on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings!

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is very pound to welcome back one of the Ghetto Funk scenes finest producers: B-Side for the second installment of his Party Bangers series. This time he’s teamed up with another heavyweighter – BBP’s very own BadboE to line up 4 big tunes designed for maximum dancefloor destruction!
Party Bangers Vol. 2 takes us on a musical journey through different areas of electronic funk: from the peak time ghetto funk bangers – over Reggae grooves, electro swing to end up with a disco anthem. The musicality plays a big role on these tunes and its easy to recognize both producers signature through-out this EP.
The EP kicks off with a big electric funk bangers Funk Me Again, which takes elements from a classic funk jam and mixes it with some J5 party rap in a progressive ghetto funk arrangement. Rewind it Back takes on some catchy reggae summer grooves and slams on some big beats and wobble basslines. Do You Wanna Ride flips it around with some electro swing vibes to makes sure the party keeps on riding. Last but not least its time for B-Side & BadboE to Get Busy on an extended disco anthem. 7 mins of groovy disco goodness.
For those of you who trying to steer clear of the mash-ups or wants to do you own mixes, all 4 tunes comes in instrumental versions.
Another banging EP from your one-stop-shop for everything you need in funky beats and breaks…
Video vs VJNY:
Review from Juno Download:
“Roll up, roll up! Break Beat Paradise present a clash of the party breaks titans, DJ B-Side Vs DJ BadboE. Both acts have released party fodder separately before, now though they’re together in this mean soundclash (actually BadboE is the label owner). This time there are four tracks all in the trademark party breaks vein beginning with the electro-funk-rap jam “Funk Me Again”, before Usher gets a go-go sing along makeover on “Rewind It Back”. Next “Do You Wanna Ride” sees vintage big band samples blend with hip-house and finally “Get Busy” ends with a Groove Armada/lush disco fusion. Boom!”

The halloween parties are creeping up on us so we thought it was time to get together and do a spooky little something for your halloween DJ-sets.
BadboE did the main arrangement and called on Aliens In Denmark to record some cuts and finally highjacked Leygo to put some basslines on this redo of the classic Spooky joint.
They even had some fun with some spooky halloween sounds to get you in the right spirit.
Be aware of the copycats of this edit – this is the original 2016 halloween regroove!

- Groove Mind – Inner Fire
- Groove Mind – Bring The Funk Back
- Groove Mind & Frankee More – Music Is The Answer
- Groove Mind – The Dreamers of the Dreams
Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back to release the Inner Fire together with a new talented artist: Groove Mind on this 4-track bangin’ ghetto funk EP.
Groove Mind has gone back into the archive of golden soul and funk samples and pick out a few all-time favorite clips and embedded it into his world of big beats and basslines – and the result is as the title indicates: pure fire!
The glitchy pieces seems to be playing a vital role on these track, but yet still they manage to stay very groovy and funky. On Music Is the Answer – Groove Mind has brought along a follow funky bass producer Fankee More to further boost the funky vibes.
Overall a very interesting and well-produced debut solo EP from a new ghetto funk producer, that we surely will be hearing a lot more from in the time to come.
As to many time before… you heard it first – right here on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings!
“Groove Mind’s ragga-glitch signature is getting stronger with every release. Swaggering up to BBP with four party-fused bangers, it’s yet another level of indelibility. “Inner Fire” busses up a Ragga Twins sample over a cavalcade of bass textures, “Bring The Funk Back” is so sleazy it could make Troutman blush while “Music Is The Answer” fuses some very well-known samples into a track that celebrates everything that’s brought us here today. Looking for a little more pep? Jump straight onto the party D&B cut “The Dreamers Of The Dreams” and get skanking!”

To celebrate the release of the new Morlack EP: Touched It – Morlack and BBP is giving away a free tune. A wicked ghetto rocking edit of Al Jarreau’s Imagination.
Be sure to check out the hot new 5-tracker by Morlack:
Out now on Digital EP.
Available in the Juno Download:
It’s a pleasure as always to welcome back a true BBP all-star: Morlack to drop another fresh handful of funky jams on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings. Following up on his successful full-length album Hypersonic Freak from last year – here’s Morlack back in better shape than ever!
The Morlack sound has been perfected – the beats have been sharpened and the bass lines empowered. The Touched It EP is the perfect example of how Morlack takes an obscure funk tune and turns it into his own by adding his signature straight up beats and twisted drunken-style ghetto bass.
The EP kicks off with a tip of the hat to certain MC Hammer who made this Rick James hook famous – now with a big Morlack bass lines on it – yeah he Touched It!. Riding on with the Born 2 Boogie joint, which really showcases the Morlack sound with an undeniable funky groove, twisted ghetto bass and upbeat oldskool rapping. The next couple of tracks takes us on a journey – first to the soft side and then to New York – just riding the funk wave. The EP slows down at the end with the Part 2 of the awesome Who Is He, which was originally release on the Fly to Paris EP in Dec 2014.
Morlack holds his position as the hardest working man in Ghetto Funk and we are BBP are happy to be the platform for the funky output that keeps coming out of the Morlack studio…
“Denmark may not spring to mind when thinking of the late, great Rick James and his breed is glittery funk. However its Danish label Breakbeat Paradise that Go-Go addict Morlack has chosen to release his James-referencing Touched It EP. This one even comes with a special video featuring the James-meister in his spandex-clad prime. In short this EP is packed with five retro boogie edits, highlights of which include the pitch-bent boogie stomp of the title track, the tight digital synth funk of “Take A Ride On The Soft Side” and the quirky groove mania of “Take A NY Trip”.”
