BBP-194: Mined & Forrest – Mined & Forrest Remixed

Its time to get busy on some serious classic BBP dancefloor bangers from the Mined & Forrest crew – and put a twist on them with an epic remix package.
We’ve invited some of the very best producers in the Electronic Funk scene to remix 5 of the biggest Mined & Forrest tunes from their 4 BBP EPs as well as a brand new VIP Mix of the Coming Though track to go with it.
Starting off, Lack Jemmon is bringing out the big guns to really smash up the Funk Toxic jam with their signature fat bass electro treatment. Followed up by label boss man BadboE taking the smooth Gimme The Best joint and wrapping some groovy boogie vibes and some jazzy elements to the equation.
Beat Le Juice takes on the Rock It banger from Mined & Forrest latest EP and transforms it into a catchy disco bass house jam. BBP’s very own B-Side has returned to put some additional heat and funk into the epic There It Is jam.
Wrapping up the EP with Mr Bristow’s creative Drum’n’ Bass remix of the mellow Fire Back tune before ending things with Mined & Forrest remixing their own Coming Though jam into an even bassier VIP mix.

BBP-137D: Lack Jemmon EP

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back with another big vinyl release from the amazing producer due Lack Jemmon, which consists of DJ Clairvo and Kid Panel, who are both well-established producers, DJs and label owners on their own. Together they are an explosive cocktail of big funky grooves, filthy glitcy basslines and banging beats! After little over a year of being vinyl exclusive – this 4-track beast is finally ready to be unleashed to the digital audience!

Lack Jemmon has been around for a couple of years and quickly signed up with the successful ghetto funk label Scour Records where they have dropped a few tunes and remixes. When the boys reached out to us and said they had 4 bangers they wanted to drop on vinyl we didn’t hesitate to say Hell Yeah!=

The self-titled EP showcases their style of heavy breaks and funky basslines perfectly across the 4 bangers that are tried and tested for complete dancefloor destruction.

A1. The EP kicks off with a big remix on the catchy Olly’s Heartbeat, which has been infused with someheavy duty basslines and some rocking electronic funk beats. Pure fire!

A2. The party continues on the second cut where the boys are really getting serious on another catchy riff and some party rhymes to go with the steady beats and glichy basslines. Let’s not forget the beautiful hook from the original 90s dance anthem to complete this perfect joint – Who’s Serious!

B1. Just as we though this couldn’t get any better Lack Jemmon cooked up another banger for the b-side called The Party Riddim. As the name suggest it harvests some big reggae grooves and vocals mixed with some party rocking beats.

B2. To showcase a different side to the duo Would You?! is a funky house arrangement with some smooth disco grooves and a party rocking rap acapella. A perfect way to end this double A-sided wax of bangers!

You can always count on BBP for your doze of party rocking beats – and for keeping the vinyl alive…

BBP-147: Lack Jemmon – The Remixes

The duo of Lack Jemmon was founded by Kid Panel and DJ Clairvo during the summer of 2013 in order to bring their musical vision alive – the marriage of tricky glitch-hop, heavy bass-music and happy funk. Their productions have been picked up immediately by the Best New Label of Breakspoll 2013, Scour Records offering the first deal to the guys.

By now, their tracks are being played all around the globe, enjoying the full support received by the majority of the scene of bass heavy funk music, which has lead their remix made for See-I and for The Empresarios on Fort Knox Recordings ending up at the 2nd place of Beatport‘s Glitch Hop Charts and remaining in the Top100 for months.

Nowadays, having released decent amount of free downloads on their Soundcloud, Lack Jemmon still keep on delivering charts-banger tracks. Their latest track they had nailed together with The Kurnel MC called Joan Jett, have been hitting the Breaks Charts of JunoDownload reaching No. 1 position as the part of Bring Back The Funk Vol. 4. compilation. Disappearing from the spot-light, Breakbeat Paradise Recordings decided last year to give Joan Jett a refreshment and the result ended up in a 6-tracker remix EP. Carefully selected producers from the board of the label have been invited to bring difference and versatility to the rock attitude of the original track. The remixers, hailing from the UK, Greece, Australia, Germany actually round up a real international EP that is being packed with heavy yet cathy dance-floor bangers.

In their DJ-sets, the Lack Jemmon dudes throw a unique blend of dynamic hip-hop, big-city funk and dirty breakbeats what they have been introducing to their local Budapest crowd at their club-nights aswell as to the dancefloors of Barcelona, London, Berlin or Bristol on regular basis so far..

BBP-143: VA – Bring Back The Funk Vol. 4

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is on a roll right now and are not showing any sign of slowing down as they return with yet another action-packed funky compilation in form of the 4th installment of the beloved Bring Back the Funk series.

As the previous times BadboE has called upon some of the very best producers in the electronic funk scene to represent a well balanced blend of oldskoool funky gems and bass bangers clinically designed to set dancefloors on fire with Funk!

Bring Back The Funk Vol. 4 features brand new joints from BBP all-star producers, Lack Jemmon, B-Side, BadboE  & Proper as well as introducing new artists to the label: Hebegebe and Brian Carson, Kibosh and Synoptix who all have some funky goodness up their sleeves.

The EP kicks off with a new joint from BadboE who has teamed up with longtime partner in beats Prosper to Bring That Back once again. They just released a new EP earlier this year on Bombstrikes and here they are again with a groovy party rocking jam.

Another duo who has returned for the second time this season is Lack Jammon after dropping their successful 12” vinyl, which has been getting spins in a lot of big festival DJ set this year. Here they are with the catchy Joan Jett tune, which features Kurnel MC on the mic over a rather tasty funky beat.

A producer that never disappoints is back to shine once again with a chilled slice of funk – DJ B-Side with a joint called Cali. A perfect way to return after the epic Like This track which has been rocking dancefloors and radio airwaves ever since it dropped on the Badass Funk EP.

From way down under we happy to introduce a new act Hebegebe and Brian Carson, with a pleasing funky sound, which sounds like it was made back in the nu funk days. On point and straight up oldskool banger designed to Bring Back The Funk!

For the remaining part of the EP we’ll welcome some bass to the party – first up brought by the talented Kibosh who returns to BBP for the second time after featuring on the Swing That Funk compilation. Last but not least we’ve called on Funk Fury new act called Synoptix to finish the party with a blast of a funky banger.

BBP is dedicated to bringing you the very finest in the funkier spectrum of the electronic breakbeat scene.
